Leadership Program

The Leadership Program was developed by the American Taekwondo Association to teach leadership skills to all individuals, regardless of their age or belt rank.

The Leadership Program represents our most elite and advanced training. If you feel you are ready to take your training to the next level, then the Leadership Program is for you. • Specialty Leadership Training Class - Specialized training and specific drills will develop good communication skills and a confident and commanding presence in front of an audience.
• Life Skills Training - Kids will be taught the importance of proper phone etiquette, making introductions, and dealing with peer pressure. Other topics include dealing with bullies and abduction awareness training. Adults will be taught the 10 class management skills, how to deal with stress, how to become more assertive and how to handle dangerous and threatening situations.
• Advanced Specialized Weapons Training - Leadership members will enjoy advanced weapons training with the Sam Dan Bong (three-sectional staff), Ssahng Nat (double Kama), Kumdo (Sword) and Double Sai!
• XMA - Extreme Martial Arts is a fun, dynamic and high energy take on modern martial arts that incorporates loud kihaps, lightning fast strikes and advanced kicks. 
• Swat Team Eligibility - Special Winning Attitude Team members will act as role models in other classes, significantly increasing their confidence and leadership skills. 
• Demo Team Eligibility - Participation on the Demo Team is a highly effective method of developing confidence through performing in front of an audience. 
• State Champion Eligibility - Enrollment in the Leadership Program at ATA National Headquarters makes you eligible to earn points at in-school, regional, and national tournaments. The title of  “STATE CHAMP” can be earned in forms, sparring, and/or weapons competition. Winning state champion will allow individuals to be recognized nationally with new uniforms saying “STATE CHAMP” on the back above their name along with corresponding patches for their state and for the divisions they won.
• 4th Degree Black Belt Eligibility - The privilege of testing for fourth degree black belt is reserved for the most committed and dedicated Leadership members.
